New on Disney+ to Watch in June 2026

Wondering what to watch on Disney+ this month? Between a brand-new city for the 9-1-1 franchise, a comedy that swept Canneseries, and the long-awaited return of My Hero Academia, June 2026 has plenty to fill your watchlist.

Wondering what to watch on Disney+ this month? Between new original series, the return of a cult anime, and a French film getting a sequel, June 2026's catalog has something for just about every taste. We sorted through it and picked 5 titles (movies and series) that genuinely deserve a look. Here is our top 5.

‍

1. 9-1-1: Nashville

The 9-1-1 franchise heads to the heart of Tennessee with this brand-new spin-off series. The concept stays the same: firefighters, paramedics, and police officers handling increasingly dramatic emergencies, except Los Angeles is swapped for the capital of country music. Between chaotic calls and the team's equally turbulent personal lives, you get the full dose of action and drama that made the original series a hit.

If you have already binged 9-1-1 and want the same rush with a new cast and setting, this spin-off arrives just in time for summer.

Available on: Disney+ (from June 10)

2. Not Suitable for Work

Mindy Kaling (yes, from The Office and The Mindy Project) returns with a new comedy following five career-obsessed young adults in Manhattan who are also, incidentally, trying to find happiness. Clearly in the lineage of sitcoms like Friends or Community, with that same biting tone and office situations that are as awkward as they are funny.

The first three episodes are already out, then it drops in pairs every week through the end of June. Perfect for the "one episode before bed" format.

Available on: Disney+ (since June 2)

‍

3. Alice & Steve

If you want a series that stands out from the crowd, this one checks every box. This British dramedy, starring Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, tells how a 25-year friendship turns into an all-out battlefield when one of them starts dating the other's daughter. It premiered at Canneseries, where it received a standing ovation and won three awards (including Best Series), so it clearly has what it takes to surprise you.

Six episodes of about 30 minutes each, perfect to devour in a single weekend.

Available on: Disney+ (since June 8)

‍

‍

4. Sink or Swim 2

The sequel to the adventures of French cinema's most endearing gay water polo team lands on the platform. This time they head to the Gay Games in Tokyo, except our heroes miss their connecting flight and end up stranded in a remote and particularly hostile region. Between sharp one-liners, group solidarity, and a more pointed message than the first installment, the film won over critics and audiences alike.

A comedy that makes you laugh while tackling things that matter, without ever getting heavy-handed. What more could you ask for?

Available on: Disney+ (from June 26)

‍

‍

5. My Hero Academia (Seasons 1 and 2)

One of the most popular anime of recent years finally lands on the platform. As a reminder: in a world where almost everyone has a superpower (a "quirk"), Izuku Midoriya, one of the rare few without one, still dreams of becoming a professional hero. Between generous action, endearing characters, and that shonen energy that makes you devour episode after episode, it is clearly a genre landmark.

Whether you are already a fan or discovering it for the first time, it is the perfect chance to dive in (or start a full rewatch) straight from your OneMovie watchlist.

Available on: Disney+ (from June 19)
