The Spanish thriller arriving June 19 that everyone is already comparing to Elite, except here the high-school intrigue is swapped for a mysterious disappearance at an ultra-exclusive luxury resort. Avatar: The Last Airbender, Season 2 on Netflix

The highly anticipated return of Aang and his crew, with 8 new episodes dropping June 25. This season focuses on learning earthbending, with the much-hyped arrival of Toph joining the cast. A Season 3 is already confirmed to close out the series.

Summer of 36 on Netflix

The historical drama from French network TF1 landed June 1 on the platform and shot straight into the top 10. It follows four women caught up in the whirlwind of a murder in Nice in 1936, against the backdrop of France's first paid vacations and explosive social tensions.

Not necessarily the kind of series you expect to love, but the mix of crime drama and social chronicle works remarkably well. A sequel is reportedly already being considered given the success.
